Familiar Faces in New Places – Principals Named for Fall Term (Updated)

The Whitfield County Board of Education has approved several principal changes for next school term.

Principals

  • Sherri Travisano will move to Career Academy/Phoenix High from Dawnville Elementary.
  • Larry Farner will move to be principal North Whitfield Middle from Cohutta Elementary.
  • Tim Wright will take Farner’s place as principal at Cohutta Elementary after working with him as assistant principal at the school.
  • Beth Tuck will move to be principal at Dawnville Elementary from assistant principal at Valley Point Elementary.
  • Belinda Sloan will move to be principal at New Hope Middle from assistant principal at the school.
  • Jonathan Willard will move to be principal at the Crossroads Academy from assistant principal at Eastbrook Middle School.

Assistant Principals

  • Donna Harris will be assistant principal at Eastbrook Middle School.
  • Lisa Gregg will be assistant principal at Cohutta Elementary.
  • Lis Pace will be assistant principal at Eastbrook Middle School.
  • Drew Bragg will be assistant principal at Valley Point Middle School.
  • Rena Graham will be assistant principal at Valley Point Elementary
  • Chris Woods will be an assistant principal at Coahulla Creek High School
  • Rodney Shields will be an assistant principal at New Hope Middle School.

At the central office, Dr. Richard Hill will be “retiring again” at the end of June. Sharon Kenerly, who currently serves personnel at Rockdale County Schools, will be the new Director of Human Resources for Whitfield this fall.
